KHYBER: Terrorists launched a heavy weapons attack on the Barkambar Takiya post in the Bara police station jurisdiction Saturday evening, officials said. Police forces swiftly retaliated, forcing the assailants to flee the area.
The attack occurred under the cover of darkness, but officers responded with immediate gunfire, effectively repelling the militants. Following the incident, a large police contingent was dispatched to the scene, and a search operation was initiated with the area cordoned off for further investigation.

District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal commended the bravery of the police personnel involved in the operation and praised their quick response. No casualties or injuries among police forces were reported in the exchange.
Authorities are continuing their search for the attackers as the investigation remains ongoing.
