KHYBER: Khyber district police on Sunday claimed to have foiled drug smuggling, seized 46 kilograms of Hashish from a car and arrested two accused in the limits of Bara police station.
According to the details, the Melwad Police achieved another major success against drugs. Additional SHO Shabbir Khan and Sub-Inspector Sawab Khan recovered 6 kg of hashish from a suspicious motor car during a blockade.
During further action on the identification of the accused, 40 kg of hashish was seized, as a result of which a total of 46 kg of hashish was seized in the two different actions.
During the action, two accused, Abdul Wali and Hawaldar, were arrested and sent behind lockups. While operations against drug peddlers continued in the area.
District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal, while praising the successful operation of the police team, reiterated the commitment to completely eradicate drugs.
He appealed to the public to fully cooperate with the police in identifying drug peddlers and anti-social elements so that society can be freed from the scourge of drugs.
