South Waziristan Clash: Tribesmen Repel Attack, 2 Terrorists Dead

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A daring attempt to kidnap Sharif Salwar Khel the cousin of prominent tribal leader Malik Sardar Ali Wazir was foiled in a fierce clash near his residence in Barmal Azam, South Waziristan. Two terrorists were killed, and one was injured in the shootout.

According to police and local sources, armed assailants belonging to a banned organization attacked Malik Sardar Ali’s family late Tuesday. However, the family members fought back bravely, thwarting the abduction and eliminating two attackers.

Following the incident, hundreds of armed tribesmen from the Wazir Karekhel tribe swiftly mobilized, surrounding the area to prevent further attacks. In a WhatsApp audio message, Malik Sardar Ali assured his community, saying:

“Our tribal force is in full control. If terrorists dare to attack again, we will respond with full force. We have done no wrong, but we will defend our honor till our last breath.”

He also appealed for weapons support to strengthen local defenses. Meanwhile, tribal elders have demanded a government investigation into the attack, urging action against groups trying to destabilize the region.

Malik Sardar Ali Wazir, a respected businessman and Traders Union president, remains unharmed. Authorities say the situation is under control, but tensions linger in the area.
