RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, extended his heartfelt Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the world.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Media Minister Salman al-Dossary, King Salman expressed gratitude to government agencies for their efforts in facilitating Umrah rituals for visitors throughout Ramazan.
He emphasised that serving the Two Holy Mosques and catering to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims is one of the greatest blessings bestowed upon Saudi Arabia.
“Eid is a time of joy and unity, symbolizing compassion and brotherhood,” King Salman stated. He also prayed for continued peace, stability, and prosperity for Saudi Arabia, the Islamic world, and the entire globe.
Saudi Arabia, along with Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, announced Sunday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramazan.
On this occasion, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received congratulatory messages from several Arab leaders. The Crown Prince also received telephone calls from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, who extended their Eid greetings.
