BATTAGRAM: The traffic on the Karakoram Highway (KKH) has been partially resumed after it was blocked due to torrential rain and flash floods in the Thakot area of district Battagram on Wednesday.
The Karakoram Highway was temporarily closed due to landslides at Thakot and Darra Naranj caused by heavy rain in Battagram. Upon receiving reports of the situation, the Battagram Police, alongside the district administration, took immediate action.
Traffic has been partially restored, and efforts to clear debris from the road are ongoing. The Battagram Police are committed to ensuring the convenience and safety of the public.
The heavy rainfall coupled with a hailstorm caused massive damage to the public properties, vehicles and other valuables.

The heavy rain, accompanied by an intense hailstorm, struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the federal capital, Islamabad, on Wednesday, causing massive destruction to public property.
