KOHAT: The Kohat Premier Football Academy received a significant upgrade with the distribution of FIFA-approved footballs, futsal balls, and cricket kits. The ceremony was supervised by Regional Sports Officer Anwar Kamal Barki and attended by DFA Kohat President Zia Alam Afridi, cabinet member Farhatullah Afridi, Deputy Director Finance Farmanullah Khan Marwat, and Dr. Muzammil.
Speaking at the event, Barki emphasized that equipping local academies lays a foundation for future sporting success. He cited Kohat’s recent third-place finish in the provincial Under-22 Games as direct evidence of such initiatives paying off.
“This achievement marks a milestone in Kohat’s sports history,” Barki stated, pledging continued support to provide better facilities for young athletes. He vowed to sustain these efforts to help Kohat achieve even higher rankings in future competitions.
