.Nine individuals accused in the Kohistan financial scandal case, linked to a Rs 40 billion scandal, have submitted plea bargain applications. The applications have been forwarded to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman and will be presented in the accountability court
According to sources from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), a thorough investigation is ongoing concerning the properties owned by the arrested individuals. This includes shopping malls, bungalows, and other real estate valued in crores of rupees in Islamabad and Abbottabad.
NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported that contractor Ayub has submitted a plea bargain application for Rs 3.45 billion, which is seen as a significant development in this case.
Additionally, it is important to note that NAB has summoned PTI’s newly elected Senator Azam Swati twice regarding the Kohistan corruption scandal. After the first summons, NAB summoned him again on July 17, stating that his previous answers were unsatisfactory.

The Accountability Court Judge Ali Gohar handed over the arrested contractor in the Upper Kohistan scandal to NAB on a seven-day physical remand.
According to the NAB investigation officer, the accused Contractor Ayub withdrew billions of rupees from the government treasury in collusion with other members of the gang. The interim bail of the accused person was discharged, and further investigation is underway.
The court accepted the request of the investigation officer and handed over the accused to NAB on a seven-day physical remand. Meanwhile, in another crackdown anti-Corruption Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested a revenue clerk in the fraudulent transfer of land in Hangu and launched an enquiry against the accused persons involved in the scam. Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received a complaint regarding the fraudulent transfer of land in the district of Hango. The complaint states that the land was transferred fraudulently three years after the woman’s death. Police registered an FIR against Tehsildar Muhammad Tariq, Patwari Zahidullah, Aqil Mir, Zarwar Jan and Karim Gul, named in the FIR.
