PESHAWAR: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra and the provincial Anti-Corruption Department are locked in a dispute over allegations and legal proceedings, with the matter playing out on social media and in court.

Anti-Corruption Advisor Mosaddiq Abbasi expressed frustration over Jhagra taking departmental complaints to social media instead of internal party forums. He stated that while Jhagra, as a government member, has the right to raise questions, sensitive issues should be discussed within the party.

Abbasi revealed that Jhagra had sought details of citizen complaints against him from the court, prompting the Anti-Corruption Department to submit relevant records. He clarified that three past cases against Jhagra were closed after proper investigations found no wrongdoing.

Abbasi emphasized that the department will continue its work without pressure, strictly following the law.
