PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP accountability committee sought an answer by March 10 from the speaker of the provincial assembly Baber Saleem Swati over alleged misuse of power, illegal appointments and overspending on the renovation of the speaker house.
The action was taken following a complaint registered against the KP provincial assembly speaker with the KP accountability body source.

During a TV interview the lawyer of the KP speaker said that the accountability body asked his client to answer the letter within a week while clarifying the allegations he said the renovation work was done by the C&W department not by the speaker, the allegations of misuse of power are baseless.
The founding chairman of the ruling PTI party Imran Khan directed the accountability committee to submit a detailed report on the performances and alleged corruption by May. The accountability committee accelerate the process.
