KP cabinet meeting scheduled for July 18, 41-point agenda issued

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has scheduled the 35th meeting of the provincial cabinet on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10 am at the Civil Secretariat, Peshawar.
The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which several senior officials, including ministers, advisors and special assistants, will participate.
The agenda of the cabinet meeting consists of 41 points in which decisions are expected to be taken on financial, administrative, legal, development and other matters.
The cabinet meeting will consider the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture Income Tax Rules 2025 related to tax on agricultural income. Approval of funds for the District Complex Lilonai for Shangla district is also part of the agenda.
The regularisation of contract and work charges for employees working in former FATA projects will also be considered.
The progress of the case related to the writ petition against the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be placed before the cabinet.
Various points have been put forward regarding the health department, including a health management information system, the establishment of an Institute of Health Sciences and financial assistance for the treatment of three different patients. These patients include cases of liver transplant, blood cancer and other expensive treatments.
The agenda also includes proposals for posting a managing director in the health foundation, the formation of a board of governors of a paraplegic centre, and the abolition of the death penalty clause.
Points such as measures related to vehicle number plates in NCP and FATA, auction of tobacco cess, and appointment of legal counsel for anti-narcotics cases in the Supreme Court will also be considered.
Regarding the local government sector, the Swat River to Mingora water supply scheme, approval of the meeting of the Urban Areas Development Board, and lifting the ban on the purchase of vehicles for DDAC chairmen are also part of the agenda.
In the environmental sector, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environmental Audit Rules 2024, and laws related to sealing or confiscation will be presented. A relaxation of the ban on the purchase of vehicles for the game reserve in DI Khan has been proposed.
Appointment of five new members for the Child Protection Commission and decisions on grant-in-aid for NGOs are also expected.
The BRT project also includes the dues of the Cantonment Board Peshawar, vehicles for the Food Directorate from the Sugar Cess Fund, and new posts for the Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
The points of formation of the board of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company, increasing the share of net hydel profits from 10 to 15 per cent, and the temporary recruitment of staff in colleges have also been kept.
Four new posts in the Information Directorate, approval of the cost increase for the tourist road project in Hazara in the tourism sector, and assistance to the victims of Bagh Maidan (Tira) will also be considered.
Transfer of land for the Intelligence Bureau in Nathia Gali, cess fund for historical mosques and shrines, endowment properties and funds are also part of the meeting.
The establishment of a fund support unit and recruitment of staff in the finance department, approval of the chief secretary in a court case in Malakand, and transfer of new posts for Swabi Jail will also be discussed.
