KP CM directed emergency relief for flood-affected family of Bajaur

PESHAWAR: After the loss of precious lives due to a cloudburst in Bajaur’s Salarzai tehsil, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has immediately issued instructions to all concerned agencies to take emergency measures.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur and other officers of the district administration have reached the scene and rescue and relief operations are underway. The Chief Minister has ordered that immediate assistance should be provided to the affected people by utilising all available resources, and no negligence will be tolerated.

As part of the government’s measures, a provincial government helicopter has also been dispatched for the rescue operation. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the Commissioner of Malakand and the Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur to personally supervise the rescue operations.

The Chief Minister has also ordered the district administrations of Dir and Swat districts to remain alert and be ready to deal with any possible emergency. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that, keeping in mind the rains and weather conditions, advance security arrangements should be ensured in all districts so that the lives and property of the people can be protected.

According to the district administration, Rescue 1122, Al-Khidmat Foundation and local volunteers are engaged in relief work in the affected area, and the process of shifting the victims to safe places is underway.
