KP CM Gandapur gives 90-day ultimatum for release of PTI founder

LAHORE: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a 90-day ultimatum for the release of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, vowing strong retaliation if party workers are arrested in the meantime.

Speaking at a PTI parliamentary meeting on Saturday night, Gandapur delivered a fiery speech, warning authorities of consequences if their demands are not met.
“If you shoot at us, remember, you can be hit too. If the PTI founder is not released within 90 days, either they will go or we will,” he declared. He added, “My leader is innocent. There is no case against him. On the 90th day, he will be with us.”

He also lashed out at JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, calling his mandate “fake” and questioning his call for change in the KP government.
“He should focus on changing himself first. I am not afraid of losing my government – they didn’t give us this mandate anyway,” he said.

Gandapur further criticized the suspension of PTI MPAs in the Punjab Assembly, labeling it as “lawlessness,” and warned of retaliatory moves in KP.
“If they don’t stop, I’ll remove their chairmen here,” he said.

He reiterated that the PTI founder remains open to negotiations and concluded the meeting with slogans in support of the party’s jailed leader. PTI parliamentarians also took an oath to launch a movement for his release.
