PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur’s paid rich tributes to the labourers on the eve of International Labour Day and said that the labourer classes are playing a great role in the national development and prosperity of the country.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that this day highlights and acknowledges the struggle and greatness of the workers. The working class is silently playing its role in running our economy and laying the foundations of development. Behind every constructed building, every laid road, every active institution, there is the hard work of a worker, Ali Amin Gandapur remarked.
He said that the role of the working class is the backbone in the development and prosperity of any nation, saying that development and prosperity are not possible without ensuring the welfare and protection of the working class.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will ensure the welfare and well-being of the working class and will take practical steps to spend Rs 729.3 million on scholarships to be given to the children of the working class.
He added that under the Dowry Grant, more than Rs 130 million in assistance was given to the working people who are working in various industries of the province. He informed that a total of Rs 33.6 million was provided to 44 working families under the Death Grant, while 2056 flats have been completed in the Regi Lalma Labour Complex, which will be allotted to industrial workers this year. He maintained that under the provincial government’s Hajj scheme, 10 workers will get the privilege of Hajj at government expense this year, while under the Khushhal Pakhtunkhwa Program, 3811 children of workers have been admitted to artificial intelligence and other modern courses.
Similarly, in the workers Welfare Board schools 130 million rupees provided for the educational expenses of children studying in the province, Ali Amin Gandapur. This journey of welfare and support for the workers in the province will continue and they create an environment where the rights of the working class will be fully protected.
