PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department on Friday banned all types of study tours and picnics in all educational institutions of the province.
The development came as an official notification issued by the Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education, ESE, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.
Through the notification, all district officers, and heads of primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools have been ordered to strictly implement this decision in their respective institute.
According to officials in the KP Education department, this step has been taken in connection to the safety of students and other administrative matters.
