PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department (E&SED) has transferred and posted 41 senior officers across various districts of the province. The move follows a decision made in the Secretaries Committee Meeting held on February 27, 2025, and has been implemented with immediate effect in the best public interest.
According to the notification issued by the E&SED on Tuesday, Fazal Wahid, who was awaiting posting at the Directorate of Education, has been appointed as the new DEO (Male) Bajaur. Mahmood Ghaznvi, previously serving in Chitral Lower, has been moved to Chitral Upper, while Miftah ud Din, from Chitral Upper, has taken over in Chitral Lower in a mutual transfer.
Muhammad Ashraf, earlier posted in Upper Kohistan, has been transferred to Torghar. Hayat Khan, serving in Orakzai, is now assigned to Upper Kohistan. Muhammad Riaz, who held the post in Swat, has been posted to Mardan, replacing Zahid Muhammad, who has been moved to Kolai Palas. Sheraz Ahmad of Kolai Palas has been transferred to the Directorate as Additional Director (Establishment-Male), with Dr. Muhammad Iqbal moving from that role to serve as DEO (Male) Swat.
Hidayat Ullah, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed DEO (Male) Mansehra. Mushtaq Ahmad, also awaiting posting, has been assigned to North Waziristan, relieving Gul Faraz of additional duties.
Shah Jehan, previously posted in Nowshera, and Abdur Rehman, who was working in Torghar, have both been directed to report to the Directorate. Zahid Hussain has replaced Shah Jehan as DEO (Male) Nowshera, and Muhammad Farooq has been posted to Orakzai in an own-pay-scale capacity.
Muhammad Idress, who had been working as Additional Director (Planning & Development), has also been asked to report back to the Directorate. Naheed Anjum, who was Additional Director (Establishment-Female) for the Newly Merged Districts, has now been given additional responsibilities as Additional Director (P&D) at the Directorate.
Ilyas Khan, previously awaiting posting, has been made DEO (Male) Dir Lower, while Inayat Ullah, who was serving in the same position, has been moved back to the Directorate. Zulfiqar ul Mulk, who was DEO (Male) Dir Upper, will also report to the Directorate, with Abdus Samad Jan replacing him. Liaqat Ali has been posted as DEO (Male), Lakki Marwat.
On the female side, Zuhra Akhunzada, previously Additional Director at DCTE Abbottabad, has been appointed Additional Director (Establishment-Female) for NMDs. Dilshad Begum (Malakand), Rehana Yasmeen Abbasi (Dir Lower), and Farzana Sardar (Lakki Marwat) have been recalled to the Directorate.
Sadia Aziz, who was working at DCTE Abbottabad, has taken over as DEO (Female) Malakand. Rabia Anees, previously awaiting posting, has been appointed DEO (Female) Dir Lower, and Nargis Jabeen has been posted as DEO (Female) Lakki Marwat. Zeb-un-Nissa, who was serving in Kurram, has been transferred to Hangu, while Abida Parveen has taken over her position in Kurram.
Tahira Jabeen has been appointed DEO (Female) Buner in an own-pay-scale capacity. Parveen Rehman, formerly posted in Shangla, has been directed to report back to the Directorate. Her place has been taken by Samina Iftikhar, previously Deputy DEO (Female) in Peshawar.
Ghulam Fatima has been transferred from South Waziristan Upper to South Waziristan Lower. Ghazala Anjum, who was in Chitral Upper, will now serve in South Waziristan Upper, and Gul Farzana, Deputy DEO of Chitral Upper, will hold additional charge as DEO there.
In North Waziristan, Aniqa Huma has been recalled to the Directorate, and Haleema Sadia has been assigned charge of DEO (Female) North Waziristan.

In Kohistan Upper and Lower, Iffat Jabeen and Sajida Sakhi, both serving as Deputy DEOs, have been entrusted with additional duties as DEO (Female) in their respective districts.
All officers have been directed to assume their new responsibilities without delay to ensure continuity and efficiency in the province’s education administration.
