KP government approves Life Insurance Scheme for citizens

PESHAWAR: To provide immediate relief to deceased families in case of sudden death, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to introduce a life insurance scheme for all citizens across the province, which will cost Rs 4.5 billion annually.

According to the details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved another major relief to the people after the health card. The government has decided to introduce a life insurance scheme for all citizens across the province, which will cost Rs 4.5 billion annually.

 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Dr. Saif said in his statement that this scheme aims to provide financial security to the people in the most difficult moment of life. Under the scheme, if the head of the household dies, immediate financial assistance will be provided to the family members.

 

In case of the death of people below the age of 60, their family members will be given one million rupees. The family members of those who die above the age of 60 will be provided with financial assistance of Rs.0.5 million. Barrister Dr. Saif said that “Most of the families face severe financial difficulties after the death of the sponsor, and at such a time, this financial assistance will prove to be a great support for them.”

 

He added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, is taking practical steps for the welfare of the people, and this scheme is part of this vision. This scheme is considered an important milestone in the social security policy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is another big step towards providing a safe and dignified life to the people.
