PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to freeze and confiscate terrorists’ properties by taking a large-scale action against terrorists and their facilitators and has prepared an action plan in this regard.
A notification issued in this regard by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa home and tribal affairs department said that under the provincial action plan, all divisional and deputy commissioners have been directed to freeze the properties of terrorists.
The letter states that action has been decided against terrorists and their facilitators, and all terrorist networks will be immediately dismantled through this action, while information about the families of terrorists involved in terrorism will be obtained from NADRA, and strict action will be taken if links with terrorists are proven.
The letter states that relatives of terrorists in government jobs will also be checked, and strict action will be taken against the presence of relatives of terrorists in any department. The letter also instructs to hold meetings at the district level to collect data on terrorists.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has witnessed an uptick in terrorism in recent years after the Taliban took over in Afghanistan. Hundreds of deadly terrorist attacks have taken place in the last few years, which have claimed the lives of civilians and forces.
