PESHAWAR : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken further action to aid flood victims, releasing an additional Rs. 2 billion for relief and rehabilitation efforts.
The province’s Finance Advisor, Muzammil Aslam, announced that this new release brings the total amount of funds provided so far to over Rs. 6.5 billion. He stated that the money is being used to help affected people in various districts by providing essential supplies, assistance, and basic facilities during their recovery.
The provincial government has assured its full support to families impacted by the floods. Relief operations are currently active in the affected areas. To ensure the aid reaches those who need it most, the district administration has been given strict instructions to distribute the funds in a transparent manner.
The advisor also mentioned that more funds can be released if needed, following approval from the Chief Minister and the provincial cabinet.
