PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor on Monday distributed Ramazan relief packages among the affected families of violence in Kurram, Parachinar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South.
A ceremony was held at the Governor House in this regard to distribute Ramazan relief packages to affectees in the merged Kurram district.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presented the relief packages on behalf of the Sindh government and the Local Government Association to Imran Wazir, Chairman of the Red Crescent for Merged Districts, and Farzand Wazir, Vice Chairman of the Red Crescent for Settlement Districts.

According to the statement issued by the office of the governor on Monday, the relief packages weigh 28 kilograms and include essential items such as wheat, rice, sugar, lentils, chickpeas, cooking oil, tea leaves, salt, and dry milk.
It mentioned the total value of the relief package is Rs20 million, of which Rs10 million was contributed by the Sindh Local Government.
If incorporated, these packages would be distributed among 884 families in Upper Kurram and 700 families in Lower Kurram.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor, Faisal Karim Kundi on the occasion expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Sindh and Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for their unwavering support in this difficult time.
He emphasised the importance of supporting the people of Kurram during difficult times and commended the Pakistan Red Crescent for their dedicated relief operations in the district.
