KP governor Kundi slams CM’s assembly speech as politically irresponsible

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi strongly reacted to the Chief Minister’s address in the Assembly
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has strongly reacted to the statement made by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the provincial assembly session, saying that instead of discussing constitutional and financial matters, the floor of the assembly was dedicated to personal loyalty, baseless allegations and dangerous political narratives.
A person who constantly claims that he is running the government on the instructions of a convicted prisoner is not a representative of democracy but of personal dictatorship. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly is not the domain of a single individual, nor can its system be run from the barracks of a prison, Governor KP
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi further said that the Chief Minister’s claim that “the Assembly cannot end without the Khan and he can dissolve it before he takes a breath” is not only a constitutional rebellion but an open admission that the current provincial government is not based on a public mandate, but on the basis of compulsion, fear and personal interests.
I had already made it clear in my several statements that this Chief Minister will never dissolve the assembly, because this assembly is the biggest source of corruption for him. This assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a goose that lays golden eggs for him, which he does not want to let go of under any circumstances.
The Governor said that when the opposition members met with him at the Governor House recently, everyone unanimously expressed concern over the fact that the province is suffering from a frivolous and unconstitutional style of governance. The impression has completely emerged that provincial affairs are being run from the barracks of Adiala Jail, which is not only an insult to the constitution but also a disrespect for the public mandate.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that the Chief Minister’s government deliberately created a financial crisis in the province, disrupted law and order, ignored the merged districts, and targeted the opposition for revenge.
Today, when he talks about passing the budget, the fact is that this is his constitutional compulsion, not a favor. But they are also trying to blackmail the millions of people of the province by making the budget conditional on Khan’s “permission”.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wants to make it clear that
in the future, if any constitutional responsibility is denied, an attempt is made to corner the opposition, or the province is pushed onto an undemocratic path, then he, as the constitutional head, will not hesitate to take every possible step in accordance with the constitution and law.
