KP Governor urges PM to take notice of electricity, gas loadsheding

 

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister of Pakistan, urging to take immediate action to end electricity and gas loadshedding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the letter, he called the shutdown of electricity and gas during Ramadan intolerable and demanded immediate action.

The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a province that produces abundant electricity and natural gas, but despite this, the people here are being deprived of electricity and gas generated from their own resources.

He said that due to load shedding during Ramadan, citizens are facing severe difficulties, especially during the hours of Sehri, Iftar and prayers, the unavailability of electricity and gas has made the lives of the people unbearable.
