DASKA/SIALKOT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, accompanied by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, visited the family home of Swat river tragedy victims in Daska on Wednesday to offer condolences.
Meeting with grieving family head Dr. Mohsin, Governor Kundi expressed profound sorrow: “This tragedy has shaken all of KP. I share your pain equally.” He criticized the KP government’s handling of the incident, stating, “The Chief Minister bears direct responsibility and should resign.”
The governor questioned why riverbank encroachments weren’t removed earlier and announced he’s recommended civil awards for local rescuers. “Protecting tourists is the government’s fundamental duty,” he emphasized during a media briefing.
