PESHAWAR: A Chinese delegation recently met with Tufail Anjum, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for Technical Education, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and the Chinese organization ITMC.
The agreement aims to strengthen technical education in KP by modernizing and digitizing courses, introducing new programs, and providing certifications from Chinese institutions. Key initiatives include cultural exchange programs, Chinese language courses, and upgrading existing technical courses. A three-year diploma program will also be digitized, covering fields like film and television management, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and financial management.

Tufail Anjum stated that this partnership aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision to bring KP’s technical education up to global standards. He emphasized that the collaboration will help Pakistani youth gain modern skills and strengthen Pakistan-China relations.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Industry, TEVTA’s Managing Director, and other officials. This MoU is part of broader agreements between KP’s Industry Department and leading Chinese educational organizations.
