KP govt decides recruitment in health dept through ETEA

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to conduct tests for recruitment in the health sector through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) to ensure merit and transparency.

The KP Health Advisor Ihtisham Ali said that onward, recruitments in all Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) will be made through the provincial testing agency.

He said that he had already issued instructions to the board of governors of the all-MTI hospitals to make all recruitments through ETEA.

Ihtisham Ali said that recruitment through other testing agencies would not be acceptable.

He said that the doors of government-owned medical institutions are closed for private and other testing agencies.

Justifying his decision, Ihtisham Ali said that ETEA is conducting computer-based testing and carries transparency in the recruitment process.

Ihtisham Ali blamed other testing agencies for recruiting people of their choice after securing a recruitment tender.

He said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has clear instructions to ensure merit. Recruitment in all subordinate institutions of the health department will be done through ETEA. “Merit must be ensured in the process.
