KP govt decides to relieve additional charges from all officers

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to immediately relieve additional charges from the government officers.

Additional charges would be taken from all the government officers by March 15 of this month for which all administrative secretaries have been given tasks.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All administrative secretaries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended the meeting.

It is reported that Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued instructions to all administrative secretaries that all officers holding additional charges should be taken additional charge immediately, and regular posting should be done on these posts.

Sources say that most of the officers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are taking benefits from additional charges, while on the contrary, most of the officers are waiting for their appointment in the Establishment Department.

It is reported that a meeting on reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held on February 28 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretaryof  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A meeting was held in which it was decided that officers who have completed two years in a post should be transferred immediately, while such officers should also be relieved from additional charge immediately if they are sitting on more than one post at the same time.

The Chief Secretary has given a clear message to all the administrative secretaries that each department will have its rotation policy under which officers will be transferred.

Under this rotation policy, in the first phase, those officers who have been in the same post for more than 2 years should be transferred.

It has also been directed that no justification should be accepted on the issue of additional charges, and officers holding additional charges should be relieved from additional charges, and regular postings will be made on these posts.
