KP govt fixes head money of 14 terrorists in Kurram

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has fixed head money of 14 terrorists in the restive Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According the notification of the home department, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has notified head money for 14 terrorists estimated at Rs 130 million.

As per notification, the price for the head of terrorist Kazim has been set at Rs 30 million, while the price for the rest of terrorists has been fixed at Rs 1 million to Rs 10 million each.

The government said that names of those providing information will be kept confidential.

Kazim is the commander of the banned outlet Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) involved in terror attacks inside Pakistan on security forces and public.

The price on the head of Commander Kazim, who hails from Began village in Kurram district, has been set at 10 times more than that of the TTP Chief Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud, Khalid Khorasani and Shahid Umar.

The government has made Kazim’s arrest or elimination a top priority and has called the move part of its tough policy.

Government sources say the decision reflects tough measures against terrorism, under which rewards have been announced for the capture of wanted individuals.
