KP govt hires 'Barrister Makhdoom' for legal services with highest remuneration

 

ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has hired Barrister Makhdoom Ali Khan to defend the anti-narcotics law in the Supreme Court.

According to the details, in light of the decision of the provincial cabinet, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has hired Barrister Makhdoom Ali Khan for Rs45 million.

Barrister Makhdoom Ali Khan will defend the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in the case related to the Anti-Narcotics Act 2019 in the Supreme Court.

The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has also issued a formal notification in this regard.

In addition to the fee of Rs45 million, the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department will also pay the travel, accommodation and other expenses of Barrister Makhdoom Ali Khan.

According to the notification issued by the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, the decision to appoint a private lawyer was taken in the provincial cabinet meeting held on February 17.
