PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has ignored Imran Khan’s instructions and kept his name on Peshawar’s cricket stadium.
Officials installed a board reading “Imran Khan Cricket Stadium Peshawar” instead of restoring the original name, Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
The KP government, led by PTI for a third term, had renamed the stadium after its founding chairman. Imran Khan, however, ordered them to revert the name. Officials refused and instead put up the new board.
Sources say a PSL exhibition match was scheduled at the stadium on April 8 but has been postponed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) cited poor stadium conditions as the reason for canceling the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.
