PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System, an automated electronic procurement platform, to improve transparency and security in public procurement. Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur inaugurated the system, developed with support from the Federal Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and the World Bank. Initially piloted in eight provincial departments, the system will be expanded province-wide in the next phase. Starting July 1, 2025, all provincial departments must use the system for procurement.

The pilot includes the Public Health Engineering, Irrigation, Communications & Works, Local Government, Health, Science & Technology, KP IT Board, and KP EZMIC departments. Officials said the system minimizes human intervention, reduces errors, and ensures transparent procurement. It will streamline processes, improve fund utilization, and standardize procurement across government institutions. Dedicated dashboards will aid monitoring and decision-making.
Chief Minister Gandapur called the system a critical step toward transparency and efficiency, urging all departments to adopt it fully to ensure accountability in government spending.
