KP Government Introduces Fees for Police-Issued Certificates

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP government has announced that citizens will now have to pay fees for various police-issued documents, including character certificates, clearance letters, visa processing papers, and tenancy forms.

The decision, approved by the provincial cabinet, ends the previous practice of free issuance.

Under the new policy, a fee of Rs. 3,000 will be charged for character, clearance, and visa certificates, while tenancy forms will cost Rs. 2,000. Additionally, the verification of government employees’ documents will now require a payment of Rs. 1,000. The changes are effective immediately.
