PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched an integrated information portal to improve the government’s performance.

The KP government has achieved another milestone in making financial transparency and service delivery more effective. The Integrated Information Portal has been officially launched for all government departments and institutions of the province.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur launched the portal during a special ceremony at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar.

This modern portal has been developed with the technical support of the Sub-National Governance Program, which aims to improve financial management and institutional performance in the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become the first province in the country where such a digital system has been introduced.

183 different government institutions are functioning in the province, including autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions, universities, teaching hospitals, municipal institutions and other departments.

The portal consists of financial performance indicators, interactive dashboards and an automated reporting system, which will significantly help the government in decision-making, monitoring and implementation of financial discipline.

The event also presented the Service Delivery Performance Monitoring Report of government institutions, which is the first comprehensive monitoring report of its kind. This monitoring framework was initially introduced as a pilot project in three departments, after which it has now been extended to all government institutions.

Addressing the event, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur congratulated the concerned authorities on the launch of the portal and the preparation of the Service Delivery Monitoring Report. He directed all institutions to ensure the use of this new portal by July 1, 2025, otherwise, action would be taken against them.

The Chief Minister said that for the province to face modern challenges, we have to move towards modern technology-based reforms. He said that we started working on it as soon as we took over the government, and significant progress has been made in just one year. He added that digitization-based reforms have been introduced in various government departments, and all institutions must ensure the implementation of these reforms.

The Chief Minister said that our main goal is to provide better services to the people and make the province financially stable. Highlighting the government’s performance, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has presented a surplus budget of Rs 169 billion. Along with this, a debt management fund has been established with an initial fund of Rs 30 billion, which is planned to be taken to Rs 150 billion.

He added that the government has restored the health card and doubled the funds for other welfare programs, and the funds allocated for educational scholarships have also been significantly increased. He said that all these resources were already available, but they were not being utilized properly. The government has utilized these same resources for the welfare of the people through better financial management and monitoring.
