PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Health advisor, Ehtesham Ali Khan, lauded the anti-corruption team for swift action against a senior health department officer who was caught red-handed while taking a bribe from a citizen.
He directed the anti-Corruption team to visit government offices once a week and said that the concerned officer had come from another department for an internal audit, which would be immediately handed over to his department.
He said that they are thankful for those who provided authentic information for action and exposed the accused persons to the nation. He said that anti-corruption is expected to expose the network connected to this officer as soon as possible.
He went on to say that with the blessing of God Almighty, they would uproot every corrupt official from the health department and bring them to justice. He informed that internal audit operations of the health department are also ongoing, anti-corruption has also been taken into confidence, if necessary, NAB will also be requested to take action.
He directed the concerned officers to install cameras in the health department offices and which was much needed before to keep close watch over such elements. He mentioned that there is no place in the health department for those who are involved in this menace and would further expose those who are involved in this case.
It is to mentioning here that an employee of the Health department was caught red-handed while taking money from another person for clearing a case of internal audit of the Health department. In the presence of a magistrate, the anti-corruption team seized the looted amount of one million rupees from the corrupt Deputy Director of the Internal Audit health department.
