PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) has increased the upper age limit for Provincial Management Service (PMS) examination.

The decision to increase the age limit for people seeking different jobs in the government departments was taken in a provincial cabinet earlier this week.

“In pursuance of decision of the Provincial Cabinet dated 17.02.2025 conveyed vide Estalishement Department letter No. SOC (E&AD) 9—24/2025,” stated KP PSC in a notification.

The upper age limit of candidates for Provincial Management Service competitive examination has been increased from 30 to 35 years for all general relaxation, it added.

The KP Public Service Commission also increased the number of attempts for PMs exams.

“The number of attempts/chances from three to four as one-time measure for two years from PMS examinations to be conducted in the years of 2025 and 2026 respectively in relations of rules,” read the notification.

Earlier, Aspirants for the Provincial Management Service (PMS) have asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to implement the decision to relax the upper age limit for the examination.

The PMS Aspirants Association had asked the provincial government to implement its earlier decision and save the future of thousands of job seekers in the province.
