PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science and IT, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has announced the launch of an online traffic challan payment system in the province.
The initiative is part of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s reform agenda and aligns with the digital vision of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Dr. Ayaz highlighted that with this new system, citizens will no longer need to stand in long queues at banks or visit offices to pay traffic fines. Instead, they can conveniently make payments online—ensuring greater ease, transparency, and efficiency in the system.
He added that the online challan system will not only boost government revenue but also curb corruption and help citizens save time and resources. Terming it a major step toward e-governance, Dr. Ayaz said the system aims to modernize administrative functions and improve public service delivery.
He further stressed that CM Gandapur remains committed to public service, transparency, and the vision of a “Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” Dr. Ayaz also lauded the efforts of the IT and Police Departments, saying such innovative measures will drive the province toward development and progress.
