KP jirga ready for talks with Kabul: Gandapur

Progress Update: CM Gandapur Inspects Rs 3.67 Billion Bus Terminal in Peshawar

NOSHERA: Chief Minister CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, visited Darul Uloom Haqqania in Nowshera to offer condolences to the family of Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq, who was killed in a recent terrorist attack.

He was accompanied by his Advisor on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif. During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected the blast site and condemned the attack, calling it a tragic loss.

He praised Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq’s contributions to religion and politics and announced the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate the incident.

He promised financial aid for the victims’ families and stressed the need for improved security in the region.

While addressing the media there the Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of national unity and dialogue to combat terrorism, mentioning efforts to engage in talks with Afghanistan. He disclosed that a jirga has been established to begin discussions with neighbouring Afghanistan, but further advancements are on hold as they await the federal government’s approval of the Terms of Reference (TORs).
