KP Labor Minister orders centralized E-Tender system for Workers Welfare Board

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labor Fazal Shakoor Khan has directed the relevant authorities of the Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to centralize the board’s e-tender system while digitizing all collections of the June recovery through online system.

He also directed that a standardized structure should be created to provide quality education in the schools run by the Workers Welfare Board in the province, while after rationalizing the educational institutions of the WWB, work should be started as soon as possible on the e-transfer policy to meet the shortage of teachers and other staff in schools.

The provincial minister issued these instructions while presiding over a high-level meeting held in the committee room of the Workers Welfare Board. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Workers Welfare Board and Secretary Labor Department Captain (retd) Mian Adil Iqbal, Secretary WWB Muhammad Tufail Khattak, directors and other concerned officers. Participated.

In the meeting, the provincial minister was given a detailed briefing about various matters of the board. In the briefing, there was a thorough discussion on meeting the shortage of teaching and other staff in the educational institutions of WWB and declaring the employment as dying cadre.

The meeting brought up the situation after the transfer of WWB to the province and other important issues. A detailed briefing was also given on the steps and reforms taken in WWB and it was informed that the shops located in labour colonies were auctioned at market rates.

It was further informed that about 100 posts were eliminated to make the arrangements of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board effective. In addition, there was a detailed discussion on the establishment of an IT wing in the central office, automation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board, reduction in utility bills of schools and others.

The meeting also considered the future course of action and various suggestions. The provincial minister said that the Workers Welfare Board Efforts are being made to bring better reforms. To bring better systems into the organization and implement them practically, everyone must play their role and work as a team.
