PESHAWAR: In a significant step toward modernizing governance and enhancing transparency, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP has unveiled a new online system designed to oversee the implementation of development projects, manage finances, and streamline operations within the province’s Communication and Works (C&W) Department.
The initiative, known as the Public Works Management Information System, was introduced during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur. The session, attended by Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, administrative secretaries, and other key officials, focused on the potential of the digital platform to revolutionize project management and accountability.
Under the new system, a centralized dashboard will be established at the Chief Minister’s House, provincial departments, and the Accountant General’s Office. This digital interface will enable real-time monitoring of development projects, ensuring timely utilization of funds, reducing delays, and minimizing human error. The system is also expected to enhance the quality of development works, maintain secure records, and provide instant access to critical information.
Chief Minister Gandapur hailed the initiative as a crucial step in the province’s broader digitization agenda.
