PESHAWAR :A new kidney laser treatment facility for children has been launched at the Institute of Kidney Diseases in Hayatabad. The service was inaugurated by Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali, who also opened several other new facilities at the institute.
During his visit, the Health Advisor inaugurated a new emergency department, pediatric lithotripsy unit, microbiology lab, and a new administration block. He also observed the successful use of laser treatment for kidney stones in children, which avoids the need for surgery.
The Health Advisor praised the institute’s performance, calling it “excellent,” and said the new facilities will improve healthcare services for the public. He also mentioned that medical facilities are being upgraded in 32 hospitals across the province.
“Strengthening district hospitals will reduce the burden on Peshawar’s major hospitals,” he added.
