BANNU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Pakhtun Yar Khan visited the blast-affected area and met with affected families on Thursday.
He was accompanied by the Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, Commissioner Bannu Division Muhammad Ali Shah, DIG Imran Shahid.
During the visit, they inspected the scene Mosque destroyed in the deadly blast.
The Minister assured the local people of all out support and announced that the government will reconstruct the damaged mosque.
Later, they visited the families of those killed in the blast and offered Fateha for the deceased and prayed for their higher ranks.
The minister also expressed his sorrow and regret over the incident.
Pakhtun Yar Khan, later, talking briefly to media representatives, said that the provincial government is saddened by the Bannu incident and will soon compensate for the losses.
He said that a survey team has already been conducted by the district administration and will soon compensate the affectees.
He said that a package will be given to the families of the martyrs. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is striving to establish peace and order.
He has appealed to the people to also support the government in making Bannu a cradle of peace, then peace can be established. Our government has been against such incidents in the past and is still against them.
Deputy Commissioner Bannu Abdul Hameed Khan and DPO Ziauddin Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
