PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP Paramedics Association has threatened to launch a province-wide protest against the appointment of a non-paramedic officer as controller of the Medical Faculty.
The association held an emergency meeting of its cabinet, chaired by Provincial President Anwar Khan, to address the issue.

Provincial Secretary General Luqman Gul Orakzai presented the agenda, which was unanimously approved by attendees.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of paramedical staff and vowed to take all necessary steps to achieve its demands.
Key decisions emerged from the meeting, including a formal demand for the government and health department to appoint only qualified paramedics as controller of the Medical Faculty.
The association warned that appointing a non-paramedic to the position would result in immediate protests and strikes across the province.
The paramedics emphasized their determination to continue their movement, even during Ramazan and Eid, underscoring their resolve to uphold their rights.
