PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed admitted that terrorism is rising in the province, especially in southern districts. He warned of a possible further increase.
He revealed that KP Police lacks 11,000 personnel. He urged repairs for police stations and posts. He also stressed the need for modern weapons and said a purchase plan is ready.
He stated that the provincial government has been informed about weapons and resources. A separate force has been formed to secure the Parachinar-Tall highway.
