PESHAWAR: A total of 476 incidents of terrorism were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the first seven months of 2025, in which 121 civilians were martyred and 301 were injured.
According to police documents, North Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and DI Khan were the districts most affected by terrorism.According to the report, 77 terrorist incidents occurred in North Waziristan, 74 in Bannu, 48 in Lakki Marwat and 44 in DI Khan. Law enforcement agencies were also targeted in these incidents.
Only 66 police personnel were martyred and 90 were injured, while 48 FC personnel were martyred and 109 were injured. 55 other forces personnel were also martyred while 112 were injured. 10 martyrs and 8 injured were reported among the Hashdara.
According to the police report, the highest number of policemen were martyred in Bannu, 15 and injured 16, while 9 were martyred in Lakki Marwat, while 6 each in South Waziristan and Peshawar.
According to IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, the police are being provided with modern weapons to deal with terrorism in the southern districts, and the process of strengthening police stations and posts has been accelerated. He expressed hope that the results of this will be clearly visible in the coming days.
According to the Central Police Office, a total of 2289 policemen and officers have been martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so far, which is a long story of sacrifices made for peace.
