KP sees 371 terror incidents in five months; 163 militants killed

Two terrorists of the Fitna-ul-Khwarij were injured in Swat police and counter counter-terrorism department joint operation on Sunday. 

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP province reported 371 terrorist incidents in the first five months of this year, according to police sources and an official CPO report. Security forces killed 163 terrorists and arrested 105 others during this period.

The report, covering 27 districts, named a total of 1,479 suspects in connection with these attacks. North Waziristan district recorded the highest number of named suspects (391), followed by Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) with 176 suspects and Kurram with 166.

DI Khan also saw the highest number of terrorists killed in security operations (74). Bannu reported 21 terrorists killed, and Tank district recorded 19 terrorists killed.

Security agencies stated they are continuing operations to eliminate terrorism and improve law and order across the province.
