PESHAWAR: The Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, said that the provincial government have made verbal and written approaches to the federal government to allow the province to hold talks with Afghanistan.
Talking to media persons, he said that Afghanistan has a direct impact on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and direct talks of the provincial leadership are direly needed to be held under the permission of the Federal government. He said that things are not improving with Afghanistan as the Federal government has a separate approach to dealing the matters with Afghanistan and that was the reason that an environment of hatred and uncertainty exists between the two states. He said that the provincial government want to discuss various subjects with Afghanistan on provincial matters, but the federal government is not allowing KP to hold talks with Afghanistan on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issues. He said that leaving the neighbours and visiting Tajikistan is beyond apprehension, and first, the country should strengthen relations with neighbouring states. He said that when Bilawal Bhutto was the foreign minister, he did not take any initiatives for improving relations with Afghanistan, and all his visits were just formal meetings with different leaders to introduce himself. Regarding the popularity of PTI, Barrister Saif said that PTI’s popularity is further increasing as its brave leader, Imran Khan, has been enduring the hardship of imprisonment for the last two years. He said scandals and headlines against PTI are part of propaganda against PTI, but they don’t care about such misleading news. He said that PTI is ready to thwart any propaganda of the opposition forces in the province. He said that the Provincial government have resolved the matter in Mir Ali and the affected family have been provided relief.
