PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to digitalise the Labour Department and introduce e-labour card.
Provincial Labour Minister Fazale Shakoor Khan said that the digitisation process in the Labour Department is progressing rapidly. He said that digitisation is indispensable to bring reforms and improvements in the system.
He was chairing a meeting regarding reforms in the Labour Département to improve services, governance and transparency.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given to the provincial minister on the introduction of e-labour card.
The meeting was attended by the secretary of labour, the vice commissioner Employees Social Security Institution (ESSI) and other relevant officers.
The provincial minister was informed that e-Labour Card will carry all information including entry of service, shifting of workers and other information.
Fazale Shakoor Khan directed the relevant officers to ensure the issuance of e-labour cards as soon as possible. He also directed to speed up the digitisation process in the Labour Department. Digitisation will bring transparency in the Labour Department.
