KP to receive more rain, snowfall

Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Buner, Peshawar, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram, Khyber, and Waziristan.

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has forecasted a spell of rain and snowfall across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from March 2 to March 4.

Mountains will see snowfall, while intermittent rain and thundershowers are expected in several districts.

Areas likely to be affected include Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Malakand, Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, and Kohat.

PDMA has alerted district administrations to take precautionary measures. Authorities must ensure the availability of both small and large machinery to handle emergencies.

People should stay away from power lines, weak buildings, and billboards during the rains. Farmers must plan their activities according to the weather forecast.

PDMA urges the public to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines.
