PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly (KPA) on Monday passed a resolution condemning the Pahalgam incident and against India’s water aggression.
The resolution was tabled by the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Member of the Provincial Assembly Ahmed Kundi, which said that India was trying to terminate the Indus Water Treaty agreement, although it was a bilateral agreement that India could not terminate unilaterally.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Taj Muhammad Khan, where Ahmed Kundi, while tabling the resolution, said that they strongly condemned India’s atrocities and there was a need to stand united for the interests of the country, above political affiliations.

During the discussion on the resolution, Ahmed Kundi said that India’s water aggression was a serious threat to Pakistan, and national unity was needed in this regard. All parties in the house supported the resolution and it was unanimously passed.
During the discussion, Provincial Law Minister Aftab Alam said that initially the resolution was not ready, however, later a consensus was reached on it and the house passed it. In the meeting, the members of the assembly strongly condemned India’s illegal actions and expressed complete solidarity with the Pakistani people and forces.
