KPRA revenue collection soars by 41%

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) collected Rs 37.37 billion in the first 9 months of the fiscal year 2024-25, marking a 41% increase compared to the same period last year. In the first 9 months of fiscal year 2023-24, KPRA collected Rs 26.58 billion. This year, revenue grew by Rs 10.79 billion.

Of the total, Rs 28.8 billion came from Sales Tax on Services, and Rs 8.57 billion came from the Infrastructure Development Cess. Last year, KPRA collected Rs 22.8 billion in Sales Tax on Services and Rs 3.74 billion in Infrastructure Development Cess. Sales tax on services rose by 26%, and infrastructure cess increased by 129%.

KPRA Director General Fawzia Iqbal stated that they will exceed the target of Rs 47 billion for the fiscal year. This will support Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s goal of becoming financially independent.
