The Lower Kurram police on Wednesday foiled an abduction attempt of minor girls and arrested the suspects.
An attempt to kidnap two minor girls in Sadda, the main city of Lower Kurram, was foiled due to timely and effective action by the police.
As soon as the incident was reported, SP Investigation Jahanzeb Khan, SHO Khalil Khan and the police party took immediate action and arrested the main accused, Misma (A).
According to the police, five more alleged accused, Sadat, Yasin, Meraj, Azmat and Abidullah, have also been taken into custody on the woman’s identification.
While giving details of the incident at a press conference, Superintendent of Police (DPO) Kurram Malik Habib Khan said that the kidnapped girls, Sonia and Sajm, have been safely recovered.
He said that all the arrested persons have been shifted to Sadda Sub-Jail, and a formal case has been registered against them, and an investigation has been started.
The girls’ father, Badshah Khan, thanked the police for the prompt and thorough action.

Police officials say that an investigation into every aspect of the incident is underway, and all legal requirements will be met to ensure that the accused are severely punished according to the law.
