Lahore Qalandars thrash Islamabad United by 88 runs in PSL thriller

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars secured a dominant 88-run victory over Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 clash at Gaddafi Stadium. Chasing a challenging target of 209, Islamabad collapsed for 121 in the 17th over, with only Faheem Ashraf (41) and Salman Ali Agha (36) offering resistance.

Lahore’s bowlers dismantled Islamabad’s lineup, spearheaded by Haris Rauf’s four-wicket haul and Sikandar Raza’s three scalps. Earlier, Fakhar Zaman (44) and Raza (39) powered Lahore’s strong batting display. Islamabad’s decision to field first after winning the toss backfired, as their bowlers struggled to contain the hosts.

The win propelled Lahore Qalandars to second place in the standings with 8 points, while Islamabad United retained the top spot. Islamabad made five changes to their squad, reintroducing Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Ben Cutting, Hunain Shah, and Naseem Shah, but the reshuffle failed to deliver results.
